Keb’ Mo’, real name Kevin Roosevelt Moore, made his return to The Warehouse at FTC last Wednesday night. The Compton, CA-bred bluesman glided through the Fairfield, CT venue amid his jam-packed 2022 tour schedule.
Keb’s 19-song affair saw him pull from a variety of albums, most notably his newest, Good To Be. Released on January 21st via Rounder Records, Mo’ delivered renditions of the title track, “Sunny And Warm”, “’62 Chevy”, and “The Medicine Man”.
It wasn’t just new songs on the docket, either. In a night full of blues, folk, and Americana tunes, Keb’ pulled from older records like Live & Mo’, Oklahoma, Live – That Hot Pink Blues Album, The Reflection, Suitcase, and even 2000’s The Door, as a silky smooth rendition of “Anyway” came towards the end of the set. The evening also saw him reach back to 1996’s The Door, with a take on “More Than One Way Home” that came paired with a take on Otis Redding‘s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay”.
