[Originally published 10/29/25, updated 11/25/25]: Kevin Scott, the Atlanta-native bassist best known in recent years for his work with Gov’t Mule and Warren Haynes Band, has announced the 10th-anniversary edition of his funky annual holiday show at Variety Playhouse on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, billed this year as Kevin Scott’s Allstar Holiday Revival [get tickets].

The collaborative blowout will once again feature a heavy-hitting lineup led by Scott. This year’s roster includes notable guests from across the jam, funk, and rock scenes including Charlie Starr and Benji Shanks (Blackberry Smoke), Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy, The Fearless Flyers), Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic), AnjelikaJelly” Joseph (Galactic), Kevn Kinney (Drivin N Cryin), T. Hardy MorrisThe Greyhounds, King Baby, Emil Werstler (Dååth), Rick Lollar (Jimmy Herring, King Baby), Lamont Landers, Jontavious Willis, Mark Raudabaugh (Sierra Hull, Donna the Buffalo), Matt Slocum (Warren Haynes Band, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Railroad Earth), Ryan Scott, Rhett Huffman (American Aquarium), Jordan Shalhoup, Danny Wytanis (Ghost-Note), Mark Rivers (Tedeschi Trucks Band), Art Edmaiston (Gregg Allman, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Little Feat), Marc Franklin (Aretha Franklin, BB King, Justin Timberlake), Rafael Pereira, Amanda Joy, Tiffany White, and Spencer Pope. Alongside that loaded lineup, the initial announcement noted that “a few more VERY SPECIAL GUESTS” would be announced in the coming weeks.

[Update, 11/25/25]: As the event approaches, Kevin Scott has announced the addition of a pair of additional guests: Marcus King, the South Carolina-native guitarist, singer, and bandleader; and Eddie 9V, the Southern soul guitarist with roots in the Atlanta music scene.

“Featuring tunes ranging from James Brown and Otis Redding to Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin to Frank Zappa and Black Sabbath, and a few seasonal standards with just the right amount of holiday flavor,” an announcement from event producer Good Times Productions notes, “the band will usher in the holiday season with an uncompromising serving of funk and spunk.”

Proceeds from the event will once again benefit the Georgia Music Foundation and Backline, organizations working to preserve Georgia’s music heritage and support musicians’ mental health and wellness, respectively. The Georgia Music Foundation funds statewide music education and preservation initiatives, while Backline connects music industry professionals and their families with essential mental health and wellness resources.
