Kevin Scott’s Allstar Holiday Revival returned to Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse on Thursday, raising $20,000 for three charitable organizations—a significant increase from the $15,000 raised at the 2024 event.
Organized by Good Times Productions and sponsored by Blydan Built, Glide Pizza, Barron & Clough, Harvest Networks, Midwood Entertainment, and Musidy, the annual benefit concert supports Backline, The Georgia Music Foundation, and Vermin Sanctuary.
Gov’t Mule bassist Kevin Scott once again assembled an impressive roster of collaborators for the evening. Grammy-winning guitarist Marcus King delivered performances of his own “Wildflowers and Wine” and “Honky Tonk Hell”, plus Hank Williams Jr.’s “Weatherman”. Widespread Panic drummer Duane Trucks anchored multiple songs throughout the night, while Blackberry Smoke frontman Charlie Starr led renditions of Black Sabbath’s “Into the Void”, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Gimme Back My Bullets”, and Thin Lizzy’s “Emerald”.

Drivin N Cryin’s Kevn Kinney performed his band’s “Honeysuckle Blue” and “Shapeshifter Drifter”, while fusion guitar virtuoso Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy) contributed to multiple songs including Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” and a festive rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas”.
Galactic vocalist Anjelika Jelly Joseph delivered powerful performances of protest standard “Compared to What”, Chaka Khan’s “I Know You, I Live You”, and Mother’s Finest’s “Baby Love”. The lineup also featured Eddie 9V, Railroad Earth keyboardist Matt Slocum, Sierra Hull drummer Mark Raudabaugh, Blackberry Smoke guitarist Benji Shanks, and other talented musicians who contributed to the evening’s diverse setlist.

The funds raised will be distributed among the event’s three partner organizations. Backline, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources. The Georgia Music Foundation supports music education, preservation, and outreach programs while fostering appreciation for the state’s rich musical heritage. Vermin Sanctuary, a Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) founded by Kara Kirkland, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned native wildlife, particularly raccoons, opossums, and other misunderstood species.
Kevin Scott expressed gratitude for his “collaborators and conspirators for making the 2025 concert the best yet,” per a press release, promising to return in 2026.
