Australian rock outfit King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard continues to prove they’re arguably the most productive band in music. Barely a month has passed since the King Gizzard released their new Fishing For Fishies LP on April 26th, and they’re keeping the momentum going with new single shared on Wednesday titled, “Self-Immolate”.

The new track closely follows in the footsteps of their previously released “Planet B”, as the band alternates between thrash metal guitar parts and unusual drumming patterns before the song really gets up to full speed at the 1:00-minute mark. The band spends the remainder of the song engulfing the listener in a furious and heavy haze of powerful vocals and high-powered distorted guitars. “Self-Immolate” is as energizing as it is captivating, making for the latest muscular rock tune added to the band’s growing collection of original material released over the last few years.

The band also shared a new video for “Self-Immolate” on Wednesday, which proves to be just as intense as the song itself. The video, directed by John Angus Stewart, takes viewers into a nighttime setting where shady characters and uncontrollable flames are all on the menu. Watch the video for “Self Immolate” below.
