On Monday night, KISS was at the infamous Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood for a 12-song performance, in front of a crowd of lucky fans and (mostly) SiriusXM subscribers. The intimate performance acted as the first club show for the masked rock band in two decades, and came just four dates into their ongoing End Of The Road farewell tour, which began last Thursday in San Diego.

For the band’s performance debut at The Whisky, the arena rock quartet gave attendees a mix of their biggest hits, starting with “Deuce” and “Shout It Out Loud” from their 1970s catalogue. KISS then turned to a newer tune in “Say Yeah” from 2009’s Sonic Boom. Next up was “Heaven’s on Fire”, a lesser-known song from 1984’s Animalize, followed by “Cold Gin”. Seeing the latter appear on the band’s setlist comes as somewhat of a surprise considering it was written by their former guitarist, Ace Frehley, who hasn’t quite been their biggest supporter in recent weeks.

The show continued with “Lick It Up” and “War Machine”, before returning to their 70s-era hits in “Love Gun” and “Let Me Go Rock ‘N’ Roll”. Fans can watch the video below to see and hear the band’s performance of “Love Gun”.

The show continued with a trio of fan favorites including “Do You Love Me” and “Black Diamond” before closing with the climactic “Detroit Rock City”.

Monday night’s performance was recorded, and is set to broadcast on SiriusXM’s KISS Army Radio channel (channel 30) on Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m. ET.

The band recently extended their global farewell tour with another leg of shows now set to continue until mid-September. The tour will pick up again on Tuesday night with a show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. Fans can head over to the band’s website for tickets to upcoming shows on what may or may not be the band’s final tour.
