The Montana-based galaxy-grass quartet, Kitchen Dwellers, has announced a 2022 winter tour that will see the group traverse the western U.S. throughout January and February. Additionally, Kitchen Dwellers have shared a new music video for the band’s October single, “Stand At Ease“.

Less than three weeks removed from a two-night New Year’s run at Elm in the band’s hometown of Bozeman, MT, Kitchen Dwellers will start its winter tour on January 19th at Public House in Crested Butte, CO. Another show at the same venue on the 20th will then send members Shawn Swain (mandolin), Torrin Daniels (banjo), Joe Funk (upright bass), and Max Davies (acoustic guitar) off to Denver, CO for a show at Ogden Theatre (1/21).

A two-night stand at Fort Collins, CO’s Aggie Theatre (1/22–1/23) will set up a one-off in Austin, TX (1/29), ahead of a three-show trek through Oregon. Stops in Ashland (2/9), Eugene (2/10), and Portland (2/11) with Leftover Salmon will lead the two groups to Neptune Theatre in Seattle, WA on February 12th. From here the galaxy-grass outfit will head to Bend, OR (2/16) and Chico, CA (2/17) sans Leftover Salmon, before linking back up with its tour buddies for three more shows in Felton, CA (2/18) and San Francisco, CA (2/19–2/20).

Kitchen Dwellers also have three festival appearances on the 2022 calendar, including WinterWonderGrass Colorado in Steamboat Springs (2/25–2/27); WinterWonderGrass California in Olympic Valley (4/1–4/3); and Sweetwater 420 Fest in Atlanta, GA (4/29–5/1).

Kitchen Dwellers have also shared a new music video for “Stand At Ease”, the band’s first single of 2021. Initially released on October 10th in partnership with Backline and in recognition of World Mental Health Day, “Stand At Ease” saw the band work with producer Cory Wong (Vulfpeck) and focuses on dealing with loss and heartbreak.

“Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or substance abuse, maybe the song can trigger a happy thought or urge you to reach out to a friend, organization, or even lift yourself up,” said bassist Joe Funk in a press release. “Maybe we can uplift even one person with this.”
