As you may recall, Kung Fu recently played famed LP The Royal Scam in full alongside members of Steely Dan at their 4th annual Toys For Tots holiday benefit at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT. The two-day celebration featured Steely Dan guitarist John Herington and drummer Bernard Purdie as well as performances from Twiddle and Consider The Source. Videographer MKDevo was on the scene for those shows and has just released a stunning video of “The Fez” > “Green Earrings” from the December 19th performance.
The video heavily features Herington and Purdie as well as keyboardist Jesse Gibbon, trumpet player Mark Coronado, trombonist Rob Volo, and backup vocals from Christine Tambakis and Nicole Zuraitis alongside the members of Kung Fu jamming out to Steely Dan’s major 1976 release.
Once again, here is the unbelievable set list from that evening, set two being “The Royal Scam” in its entirety.
