Let’s give you a rundown of the players:
Dave Malone, Camile Baudoin and Frank Bua Jr.
Dave, Camile and Frank are three of the founding members of New Orleans’ legendary group The Radiators. Dave is the lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. Camile shares lead guitar duties with dave, and plays with or without the slide. Frank is the drummer and percussionist of the group. Both Dave and Camile were born in New Orleans; Dave’s life changed when he witnessed The Beatles play on the Ed Sullivan Show. At that moment, he realized he wanted nothing more than to be a musician. For Camile, it was being invited on stage as a 10-12 year old kid to play with the Dufrene Brothers. “After that night, I pretty much knew what I was going to be doing for the rest of my life.”
After playing in several bands, Dave and fellow band mate Reggie Scanlan received a call one day to come down to a jam session with Camile, Ed Volker, and Frank Bua. After a few beers and an epic jam session, The Radiators were born in January of 1978. Quickly becoming a staple of the New Orleans music scene, The Radiators became a national touring act and were known for their epically long live shows in which the energy never let down. They have done just about everything a touring band could possibly want, including headlining the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on several occasions. They have also shared the stage with BB King, The Allman Brothers, Little Feat, The Band, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, and Robert Cray, just to name a few.
Mark Rechler
Mark is a super-talented keyboardist and has played with members of the Neville Brothers, The Meters, Soulive, Rebirth Brass Band, and Bob Marley’s band. He makes music for Discovery Networks, Comedy Hall of Fame and Animal Planet. His own projects include Circus Mind, OUTHOUSE, as well as his most recent endeavor Falling Water, which recently came out with the album The Slow Down. Mark recently played at NYC’s The Highline Ballroom with the Icons of Funk, ft. Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Stanton Moore (Galactic), Fred Wesley (James Brown Band), and Bill “The Buddha” Dickens. It was a great night; check out our review here.
Dave Pomerlau
Dave is the bass player for the New Orleans funk outfit Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes. He is a classically trained musician and can play just about any style of music, at any given time, on any night of the week. He claims to be able to play any Beatles song including the b sides. In his spare time, he spends time teaching music to aspiring musicians.
