On Black Friday, Lake Street Dive released a new EP in conjunction with Record Store Day. The new collection, entitled Freak Yourself Out, features a number of songs originally recorded during the sessions for their 2018 album, Free Yourself Up. The band road-tested the material on Freak Yourself Out during their recent tour dates and decided to complete the scrapped tracks and release them as a collection of bonus material.
In the week leading up to the release of Freak Yourself Out, the members of the band released a series of amusing videos on social media in which they interview each other about the stories behind each track on the release. You can watch the teaser videos and listen to the album in full below:

Lake Street Dive will wrap up their 2018 touring schedule with a three-night, two city New Year’s run, set to take place in Portland, Maine (12/29, 12/30) and Boston, MA (12/31). The band has also announced a string of U.S. tour dates set for January of 2019 with support from Mikaela Davis, and is slated to open up for The Avett Brothers at Red Rocks on July 7th, 2019 following an April European tour.
