Leftover Salmon will wrap up the first leg of their Something Higher tour this weekend, with tour dates in Sandpoint, Idaho, and Whitefish, Montana, ahead of the group’s upcoming festival appearance at Haugan, Montana’s Silver Cloud Campout on June 9th. Today, the Colorado-based fan-favorite genre-bending roots act has announced the second leg of their Something Higher tour, which promotes the band’s similarly named new album, which was released on May 4th.
Leftover Salmon has a jam-packed summer, with an extensive schedule of festival appearances including stops at Telluride Bluegrass, The Peach Music Festival, Northwest String Summit, Floydfest, and others. The band will also host their second-annual Fish Out Of Water Festival in Taos, New Mexico, on August 10th and 11th, with their multiple headlining sets supplemented with performances by Dumpstaphunk, David Lowery and Johnny Hickman (formerly of Cracker), Trout Steak Revival, Poor Man’s Whiskey performing “Dark Side of the Moonshine”, Gasoline Lollypops, Last To Know, Liver Down The River, Sweet Lillies, Ry Taylor & Friends, and The Noseeums and more.
As for Leftover Salmon’s newly announced tour dates in the fall, the second leg of the Something Higher tour starts in full in September, with performances at Charlestown, RI’s Rhythm and Roots Festival on September 1st and Huntsville, Utah’s Blues, Brews, & BBQ on the 2nd. The next weekend, the band will perform New York’s Brooklyn Bowl ahead of a run of shows at Wormtown Music Festival, Norfolk, CT’s Infinity Music Hall, and Boston’s Brighton Music Hall. Toward the end of the month, Leftover Salmon will make stops in Atlanta (with The Infamous Stringdusters and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades), Black Mountain, NC; and Falls Church, VA.
The newly announced dates span into the start of October. First up will be a performance at The Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh on October 2nd. On October 4th, the band will kick off a four-night run across the middle America, starting with a performance at Covington, Kentucky’s Madison Theatre with the Rumpke Mountain Boys. The Rumpke Mountain Boys will stay on for the band’s show at Indianapolis’ Vogue Theatre the following night, before Leftover Salmon continues on to Chicago for a show at the recently announced festival, The Big Weekend. Closing out the new tour dates, Leftover Salmon will perform at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville on October 7th.
