According to reports shared on Friday, Leon Bridges, Prince Royce, Maggie Rogers, Stephen Stills, John Legend, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Hudson, Common, Billy Porter, and The Chicks (formerly “Dixie Chicks”) will all perform at the Democratic National Convention next week on August 17th–20th. The multi-day event is also set to feature a rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner” as performed by a 57-member youth choir assembled by Commonwealth Youthchoirs.

As of Friday, there have been no details as to where the convention will take place, as it will likely be a virtual event with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic still spreading in many states across the midwest. Last month the convention was moved from the 17,000-capacity Fiserv Forum arena in Milwaukee, WI.

“In just three days, we will kick off a Democratic National Convention that will look and feel very different than past conventions. It will truly be a convention across America, and these incredible artists will help us tell the story of where we are as a country today,” Convention Program Executive Stephanie Cutter said with Friday’s announcement. “These artists are committed to engaging with, registering and mobilizing voters to get us over the finish line in November.”

Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton are all set to speak during the event.

Convention programming will air daily from 9 p.m.–11 p.m. ET via DemConvention.com.
