As Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade prepares to take flight once again for its Hunt for Green October fall tour, the band has shared a new, pro-shot video of its live rendition of Pink Floyd Animals classic “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” from May 24th at Denver, CO’s Mission Ballroom.

Les Claypool and company will return to Mission Ballroom on October 15th as part of the band’s fall tour, a 15-date trek set to begin on October 11th at Oakland, CA’s Fox Theater and wrap up on Halloween night at Nashville, TN’s Ryman Auditorium. Other highlight stops on the tour include St. Louis, MO (10/17), Chicago, IL (10/18), Brooklyn, NY (10/22), and Philadelphia, PA (10/25), as well as an appearance at Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, FL on October 27th. In addition to songs from the Frog Brigade arsenal and various other Claypool-led projects, the October shows will mark fans’ last chances to catch the band’s nightly full-album recreations of Pink Floyd’s Animals.

The latest iteration of the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, which came together for an extensive national tour this past summer, features a mix of Frog Brigade vets, family ties, and other Claypool collaborators. Guitarist Sean Lennon (the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono and Les’ counterpart in The Claypool Lennon Delirium), keyboardist Harry Waters (the son of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters), and drummer Paulo Baldi (of The Claypool Lennon Delirium and CAKE) bring elements of Claypool’s recent projects to the Brigade, while Mike Dillon (percussion) represents a veteran presence in the outfit.

Of note, original Frog Brigade member Skerik (saxophone) was initially supposed to join the band on the road over the summer but was forced to miss the tour due to a neck/shoulder injury. As Skerik revealed to Live For Live Music earlier this week, he has been slowly working toward returning to the stage and is aiming to take part in the group’s October dates.

“I’m feeling much better getting stronger and out of pain, but still trying to build stamina,” Skerik said of his rehabilitation process. “Doing a lot of extra physical therapy, Pilates, swimming, etc. It’s a whole program. … I’m trying to get ready for Les Claypool tour in October. Rehearsals start October 7!! I’ll f—in be there!!! I hope it works out!! Yikes!!”

“I feel like I’m starting over and it’s been an amazing gift,” the saxophonist added, “and also all this recovery would not be possible without the amazing, generous support from everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe. It has been life-changing. I plan on repaying everyone with every note I play in the future! See you all out on Claypool tour, it will be an emotional reunion for me!!”
