The festival will return to its home at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, MA to also commemorate 20 years of the Levitate brand.

The tenth edition of Levitate will present a characteristically diverse lineup, including ever-rising indie-groove jam band Goose in addition to stalwart reggae acts Rebelution and Ziggy Marley. Boston’s own Ripe will also perform in addition to singer-songwriter Shakey Graves, indie acts LuciusPeach Pit, and Larkin Poe, contemporary blues musicians Celisse and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, heavy future groove trio lespecial, and many more.

“It’s humbling to be hitting the 20 and 10 year milestones of Levitate Brand and Levitate Music and Arts Festival,” Levitate co-founder Daniel Hassett said. “We set out to provide a different kind of festival for our town, and New England, back in 2013—championing our local musicians and artists and building a community who believe wholeheartedly in making the world a more creative and connected place. We’re excited to use this milestone to dig into our roots and expand our arts and mural programming, partner with more local vendors than ever, doubling our kids programs, and expanding our greening efforts.”

Levitate’s commitment to the Marshfield community strengthens with each passing year, as the festival pledges to bring in more local artisans in 2023 than ever before. Visual artists will bring large-scale murals to life throughout the weekend alongside over 60 local craft vendors offering hand-blown glass, pottery, and original artworks. Attendees will have myriad culinary options from 30-plus food trucks, all serving locally sourced meals.

In addition to hosting Levitate Music & Arts Festival, the Levitate brand puts on a series of outdoor and creative summer camps for kids. That dedication affirms the festival’s commitment as a family-friendly event featuring a kids zone run by Levitate camp counselors. Organizers are planning the largest kids program to date for the 2023 festival.
