Back on February 25, 2005, Keller Williams hit the Egyptian Room at the Murat Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This show from exactly twelve years ago is heater, with a wonderfully developed setlist and Keller sounding great and being on nonstop throughout the night. Bringing his patented twist to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ “Mary Jane’s Last Dance,” Phish’s “Stash,” the Grateful Dead’s “Brown-Eyed Women,” and his merging of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” with Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” for “Stairway to Watchtower,” Keller’s crowd-pleasing covers throughout the night were jubilant odes to the originals.
However, that is not to say his original sounds were neglected by any means, with an awesome rendition of “Gate Crashers Suck” and some super cool Keller-style looping going down throughout the night, including one segment featuring Scott Sun on saxophone. As far as recordings go, this one is pristine and captures an awesome night of music.
