All Good Records continues to spread its brand of soul, funk and groovy Motown vibes with another week chalked full of surprises. SunSquabi leads the charge with ‘After The Rain’, released today as the band’s third single off their forthcoming ‘Odyssey’ EP. The three-piece outfit has experienced nothing short of a musical resurgence since debuting ‘SquabCat’, a fitting choice for past supporters and new listeners alike. SunSquabi followed up with the EP’s title track, which saw All Good Records’ head honcho GRiZ jamming along on the decidedly old-school throwback.

Odyssey is now available for pre-order via iTunes, with the album dropping on April 1st. Early birds who order the album have the chance to check out ‘Tequila Mockingbird’ featuring Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic ahead of its release. In an interview with Inquisitr, SunSquabi shed a bit of extra light on the previously teased collaboration.

“Tequila Mockingbird” is the longest song on the album, so we really wanted to send it into space with a big solo in the middle. We’ve known Dom since our first show at Global Dance Red Rocks in 2011. We caught up at The Floozies show last year, it just worked out that we both had time and we had this song completely finished to work on together. He is a hell of a player and a master at telling a story with a solo.”

Get funky!
