In 2019, Little Feat will mark their 50th anniversary. In celebration of the milestone, the band is hitting the road for a string of theater dates.
On Monday, the band quietly posted their new 50th-anniversary artwork to their Facebook, while seven venues individually announced their upcoming Little Feat shows. By late Monday evening, the band officially announced their milestone tour announcement, comprised of eleven dates throughout the month of March in addition to two Little Feat-centric “Bonus Shows” in January and the band’s previously announced Jamaican destination event, Ramble On The Island, set to take place from March 26th–30th.
The main portion of the tour will see Little Feat make their way to fan-favorite venues along the east coast throughout March of 2019, including stops at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre (3/7); New York’s The Beacon Theatre (w/ The Midnight Ramble Band, 3/8); Collingswood, NJ’s Scottish Rite Auditorium (3/9); Rocky Mount, VA’s Harvester Performance Center (3/11); Atlanta, GA’s Symphony Hall (3/12); Asheville, NC’s U.S. Cellular Center (3/13); Nashville, TN’s Ryman Auditorium (3/15); Melbourne, FL’s King Center for the Performing Arts (3/18); Clearwater, FL’s Ruth Eckert Hall (co-headlining with Buddy Guy, 3/19); Jacksonville, FL’s Florida Theatre (3/20); and Pembroke Pines, FL’s Charles F. Dodge City Center (3/22).
The aforementioned “Bonus Shows” will see founding member Bill Payne warm up for Little Feat’s 50th-anniversary tour by performing a pair of gigs with Everyone Orchestra at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, CO on January 25th and January 26th. Both nights will see Everyone Orchestra conductor Matt Butler lead Payne alongside Steve Kimock, Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), Jeremy Salken (Big Gigantic), George Gekas (The Revivalists), and Brian Moss (Spafford) in group improvisation. The January 25th show will feature support from Los Colognes, while the January 26th show will open with a very special Little Feat cover set courtesy of New Orleans Suspects.
