On Wednesday, Live From Here with Chris Thile, formerly known as A Prairie Home Companion hosted by Garrison Keillor, announced a fresh batch of artists set to appear on the live radio show. Hosted by world-renowned mandolinist Chris Thile, the fourth season kicked off on September 7th from its new broadcast home, New York City’s Town Hall.
This week’s episode on Saturday, September 28th features Dawes, Jamila Woods, John Cameron Mitchell, Ann Patchett and Tom Papa. The following week, Live From Here will head to San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass on Friday, October 4th and include performances by Grace Potter, J.S. Ondara, and Nore Davis.
The variety show returns to NYC on Saturday, October 12th for a previously announced episode featuring Trey Anastasio, The Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra With Wynton Marsalis, Sarah Jarosz, Dulce Sloan, and Tom Papa. Paul Simon will make his Live From Here debut on October 26th alongside Lake Street Dive’s Rachel Price, followed by episodes featuring Gregory Alan Isakov and Aoife O’Donovan on November 2nd, Big Thief on November 16th, and Anais Mitchell and Ryan Hamilton on November 23rd.
Live From Here with Chris Thile is a variety show which features a unique blend of musical performances, comedy, and audience interaction. It is aired on nearly 600 public radio stations, online, SiriusXM Radio, and more.
