It’s been a busy week for Lockn’ Festival, as the promoters of the fest have revealed a single performing artist with each passing day. It all started with Little Feat on Monday, followed by Anders Osborne, Gov’t Mule, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe w/ Chuck Leavell, and now, Jorma Kaukonen & Jack Casady will lead a Jefferson Airplane Tribute at the festival.
In honor of the psychedelic San Francisco band’s 50th anniversary (no, not the Dead!), Kaukonen and Casady will be joined on stage by Rachael Price (of Lake Street Dive), GE Smith (long time SNL house guitarist), and Larry Campbell + Teresa Williams (famed Americana duo – Levon Helm / Midnight Ramble, Hot Tuna, Fur Peace Ranch). More guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
They join a lineup that now includes: Anders Osborne, Fishbone, Galactic, Hot Tuna Acoustic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe with Chuck Leavell, Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel, Little Feat, Phil Lesh & Friends, Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, Slightly Stoopid, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Doobie Brothers, The Doobie Incident, The String Cheese Incident, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Umphrey’s McGee, and Widespread Panic.
