Taking place in Chicago’s Grant Park on August 3-5, Lollapalooza’s 2012 lineup proves the festival is truly among the greatest North American festivals. Their artist roster is only rivaled by Bonaroo and Coachella and headlined by artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers (celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 92′ Lollapalooza tour), Black Sabbath, and The Black Keys, and Jack Whiteare are sure to generate a ton of ticket sales.
A lot of the festival’s “supporting acts” are considered headliners at many other festivals including Bassnectar, The Shins, The Weeknd, Justice, At The Drive In, Avicci, M83 and Florence + The Machine. Artists like Zedd, Calvin Harris, Kaskade, Porter Robinson, and Nadastrom are sure to attract the house music scene. For the ragers who like a little more of the hardcore EDM scene Knife Party, Skream and Benga, NERO, Big Gigantic, and Zeds Dead are perfect additions to the lineup. Live music lovers will love the amazing bands they have playing like Dr. Dog, Alabama Shakes, JJ Grey and Mofro, Passion Pit, and many more.
