We’ve all been anxious to check out the new Grateful Dead documentary, Long Strange Trip, directed by Amir Bar-Lev and executive produced by Martin Scorsese when it comes to homes across the United States on June 2nd via Amazon Prime Video. We’ve been getting tastes of what’s to come over the last few months, but today, great news has come our way. In addition to the one-week theatrical releases in New York and Los Angeles starting May 26th, Amazon Studios and Abramorama just announced that Long Strange Trip will be shown in theaters to the general public for one night only across the United States on May 25th.

Thus far, for the documentary’s theatrical release, it will be played at over 50 theaters across the country. Tickets for these showings are expected to sell out, so head here to check out the screening locations and find one near you. In addition to the theatrical showings slated for May 25th, deadheads in New York and Colorado can catch Long Strange Trip at two legendary venues—The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado—on the same day.
