Lotus has announced a 25+ date U.S. tour in support of its forthcoming studio album, Rise of the Anglerfish, due out in early 2026. The newly announced run will see the long-running instrumental electronica outfit travel from Colorado to the East Coast, with stops in major markets including Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Asheville, and Atlanta. Select dates will feature co-bill performances with fellow scene staples STS9 and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong [find tickets].

The Rise of the Anglerfish tour is set to begin on January 15th in Fort Collins at Washington’s, followed by multi-night runs at Denver’s Cervantes and Belly Up in Aspen, Colorado. The band will board Jam Cruise 22 in February ahead of a run through the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast throughout the end of February, March, and April. Lotus will finally finish up the tour with stops at the Brooklyn Bowl (April 17th) and Union Transfer in the band’s native Philadelphia (April 18th).

The upcoming album represents the next chapter for Lotus—comprised, in its latest iteration, of Luke Miller, Jesse Miller, Mike Greenfield, and Tim Palmieri—diving deeper into the fertile space between groove-based live instrumentation, electronic elements, and psychedelic textures.

As bassist and producer Jesse Miller explained in a statement, the record reflects a dynamic creative period. “We’ve been working on these compositions and recordings for the last two years, so I’m excited to get them out into the world both on stage and on record,” he noted. “The album explores a dichotomy between light and dark, blending live guitar, bass, drums, and keys with warped samples, modular synths, and electronic beats. The result is a wide array of colors and styles unique to Lotus.” The band plans to roll out several singles in the coming months, offering fans a preview ahead of the album’s full release in 2026.

For more than twenty years, and in varying iterations, Lotus has maintained a consistent presence in the jam and live electronic scenes, developing a style that blends psych-rock, post-rock, disco, funk, and electronic influences. The band has performed at venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and has appeared at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Electric Forest. Lotus also presents an annual event, Summerdance Festival, in Garrettsville, OH, which features a rotating lineup of artists from across the improvisational and electronic music spectrum.
