Last night, Lotus arrived in Asheville, NC for their first of two nights at The Orange Peel this weekend. The band wasted no time getting the party started, opening the show with an extended “Bellweather” segment that fluidly found its way into “Philly Hit” and then “Inspector Norse” before landing back on the “Bellweather” theme. “Destroyer” followed, before the band was joined by vocalist Gabe Otto for “White Light Fadeaway” and “Moonrocks.” After impressive runs through “Expired Slang,” “Turquoise,” and “Livingston Storm,” the band delivered an excellent “It’s All Clear To Me Now” that segued into “I’ve Been A Fool” led by Otto on vocals.

Next up, the band busted out rarity “Cirrus” off their 2006 album The Strength Of Weak Ties. Finally, the band delivered a high-energy 15+ minute “Flower Sermon”, before Otto returned to lead the band through staple Tame Impala cover “Elephant.” You can enjoy full audio of the show below, courtesy of taper stevegolfer66:
