Organizers for the Love You Madly – A Stream For Santa Cruz Fire Relief virtual benefit event have revealed the initial lineup of artists who will participate including The String Cheese Incident, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, and more. The 90-minute stream is set to air for free on Nugs.tv on December 5th, at 7 p.m. PT.
The lineup also includes Sammy Hagar, Kevin Cronin (REO Speedwagon), Joe Satriani, Los Lobos, Twiddle, John Doe (X), Jason Crosby, California Honeydrops, Rogue Wave, Laurie Lewis, T Sisters, Doobie Decimal System, and more. The event will be hosted by special guest emcees including former Rolling Stone journalist Ben Fong-Torres, KFPA radio host Bonnie Simmons, and Santa Cruz journalist Wallace Baine.
Love You Madly will serve as a fundraiser for relief efforts in response to the CZU Lightning Complex fires which took place this past fall. From mid-August through late September, devastating wildfires in the Northern California region destroyed over 85,000 acres of forestry and caused the death of one person. All funds raised through voluntary donations will be awarded to the Fire Response Fund, managed by the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County. The organization has already contributed over $600,000 from the fund to relief efforts.

“We recognize the arts as a critical tool to supporting those impacted by the fires and all of this music is just one representation of the outpouring of love and support for our community,” Love You Madly producer Jon Luini said in a statement. “It’s really incredible to see these artists take time to share personal messages along with their music. It helps to lift spirits, raise funds that go directly into helping the long road to recovery, but especially makes for a great virtual concert to enjoy!”
