“On June 20, 2021, Foo Fighters reopened Madison Square Garden after 466 days without live music,” the screen reads to start the new mini-doc released by the World’s Most Famous Arena this week.

On the next title screen, it continues, “15,000 fans came together to mark this historic moment, making it the first full capacity concert in a New York arena since the start of the pandemic.”

The show in question, a performance by the Dave Grohl-fronted band on Sunday, June 20th, was a meaningful milestone in the city’s return to relative normalcy. The fully vaccinated audience marked the first to gather for a concert at MSG since The Brothers paid tribute to 50 years of the Allman Brothers Band on March 10th, 2020.
