As the country slowly begins to reopen for live music, Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom has emerged as one of the city’s epicenters for socially distant concerts. On Friday, the beloved Welton Street venue hosted a doubleheader from Maggie Rose and her backing band Them Vibes, along with special appearances from some Mile High favorites.

Despite playing both an early and late show on Friday, Maggie Rose and Them Vibes didn’t let up the energy for one moment. Coming as Rose’s first live performance since her Valentine’s Day show at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley, the energy was palpable as this rising star was eager to return to the stage.

Moving through her ever-growing arsenal of original music in the early show, Rose and Them Vibes also incorporated covers from Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones into the late show. The second performance also saw guest appearances from Andy Frasco and his U.N. bandmate Shawn Eckels as well as billed guests saxophonist Nick Gerlach and trumpeter Gabe Mervin, who all just so happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to drop by.
