Last year, The Main Squeeze — a band melding soulful funk with rock n’ roll — relocated from their hometown of Chicago to the bustling city of Los Angeles, CA. Initially heading to the West Coast to record their latest album, Without A Sound, the City of Angels so completely inspired their creative process that they decided to make a permanent change. Frontman Corey Frye on vocals, guitarist Max Newman, keyboardist Ben “Smiley” Silverstein, bassist Rob Walker, and drummer Reuben Gingrich are still soaring from the release of this year’s album, but continue to keep thew content fresh on a frequent basis. Last month, they released a studio version of “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath. Today, the quintet has released a cover of “Redbone” from Childish Gambino‘s 2016 “Awaken, My Love!”.
