A 30-year-old man identified as Troy Goode has been pronounced dead following an incident that began at a Widespread Panic concert in Southaven, Mississippi this past Saturday.

Goode was taken into police custody while departing the concert at BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove when he got out of his car and began “acting erratically.” His wife, who was in the car, says police acted very aggressively with him and even tied him up. Onlookers caught video footage of Goode being “hogtied,” which you can view below.

Goode stopped breathing overnight while in police custody. His body is being investigated at a crime lab in Jackson, MS.

Goode is an active member of an online Widespread Panic fan page for over twelve years. He leaves behind a wife and infant child. Our condolences go out to his friends, family and loved ones. You can donate to the family here.
