John “JmaC” McCarten, more famously known as Manic Focus, has found himself in the corner of hip-hop, funk, and electronic soul music. Unbound to any specific genre, the Chicago-based producer’s roots run deep in a diverse array of musical influences, from early classical piano training to a cultivation of hip-hop infused electro-soul bangers.
