Marco Benevento and Mike Gordon Play Together at Burlington Discover Jazz Fest

As part of the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, keyboardist Marco Benevento and Mike Gordon of Phish collaborated for a joint set at the Radio Bean in Burlington, VT. About an hour into Benevento’s solo set, Gordon hopped on stage sporatically to jam out to some Phish favorites like “Contact” and “Bathtub Gin,” as well as for Bob Dylan’s “Rainy Day Woman #12 & #35.”

This definitely isn’t the first time the two have played together, as Gordon has played alongside Benevento’s side project, The Benevento Russo Duo, and has gone on tour with the duo and Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio in 2006.
