Margo Price took the field at Nissan Stadium ahead of the Tennessee Titans game on Sunday and captivated a crowd eager for both football and a dose of patriotism with a moving rendition of the national anthem just days before the U.S. presidential election.

“I got all choked up thinking about our country while singing the national anthem at Nissan Stadium this weekend,” Price told fans in a social media post. “Many thanks to the Tennessee Titans for having me and congrats on the win. Last slide says it all—it was my daughter’s natural reaction to me singing the Star Spangled Banner,” she added, referring to a photo of her young daughter kneeling and bowing her head, palms joined as if in prayer.

Beyond just a pre-game ritual, Price’s emotional performance reflected a nation at a pivotal crossroads. With the 2024 election looming, Price’s stirring rendition was a testament to the power of music as a unifier at a time when America’s unity feels particularly tenuous.
