Ater months of accumulating votes both online and at various events throughout the America’s Best DJ Summer Tour, a new champion has finally been crowned. Global trance superstar Markus Schulz is this year’s winner, beating out Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Diplo, and Bassnectar among others.
David “Davey Dave” Arevalo, Sr. Manager – Marketing/Artist Relations for Pioneer Electronics, the competitions main sponsor, commented, “As always, Pioneer congratulates all the DJs nominated for America’s Best DJ, and we would like to offer special congratulations to Markus Schulz, this year’s winner. Markus has been a leading DJ/producer for two decades now and he’s cultivated a loyal and lasting fanbase. By creating exciting music and maintaining one of the game’s busiest touring schedules, which includes top festivals and club venues, he has helped spread DJ culture around the globe. For all of these accomplishments, he richly deserves this award.”
Schulz will celebrate his victory with a free event at Marquee Las Vegas on October 7th, featuring DJ sets from the guest of honor, as well as runner up A-Trak. Check out the final tally below.
