Rock n’ roll supergroup A Perfect Circle are currently on tour in support of their upcoming studio album, expected out in early 2018. While the photo policy has always been the same for all of Maynard James Keenan‘s bands–Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer–fans have continued pushing the limits at live shows, despite explicit signage hung throughout the venues, and Keenan isn’t having it. Such was the case on Saturday night, when 60 people were kicked out of A Perfect Circle’s show in Reading, Pennsylvania. According to the Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center‘s general manager in an Instagram comment, “We tossed over 60 people last night for taking pics.” He later added, “This was 110 percent the band’s policy and has been for Tool, APC, and Puscifer… it’s not a new policy.” The policy comes directly from Keenan, who has enforced a strict “no photos and videos” policy throughout their current arena tour. Keenan chimed in on the Instagram discussion, on Puscifer’s Instagram, writing “No. Recording. Of. Any. Kind. For. 25. Years. Guided experience. Unplug and and enjoy the ride.”

A Perfect Circle features Maynard James Keenan (Tool, Puscifer), Billy Howerdel (Ashes Divide), James Iha (Tinted Windows, ex-Smashing Pumpkins), Jeff Friedl (Puscifer, The Beta Machine) and Matt McJunkins (Eagles of Death Metal, The Beta Machine). Formed in 1999, the band has released two albums of original music since their inception and a third of all cover songs. They’ve been largely inactive since 2013, until earlier this year.
