On Saturday, May 30th, over 70 artists and thousands of fans came together for Quarantine Comes Alive, a virtual music festival that raised over $160,000 for an array of charities via the comprehensive PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The 15-hour live-stream marathon featured virtual performances and never-before-seen footage by an array of artists from around the world including modern-day Jerry Garcia Band torch-bearers Melvin Seals & JGB who debuted a pro-shot live video of a portion of their performance at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre back in March. Pulled from the outfit’s first of two sets on 3/7/20, the clip begins with a reggae jam based around Bob Marley & The Wailers‘ “Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)” before transitioning into a rendition of seminal JGB composition, “Cats Under The Stars”, sung with gusto by guitarist/vocalist John Kadlecik. As Melvin Seals relayed to Live For Live Music about the clip showed during Quarantine Comes Alive, “Please enjoy this very special performance from our night with all of you at The Cap. Thank you so much for letting JGB into your hearts and homes, we can’t wait to see you on the road!”

If you enjoyed the performance, Melvin Seals & JGB ask that you make a donation to Positive Legacy’s COVID-19 Relief Fund for Crew. Watch the “Them Belly Full” Jam > “Cats Under The Stars” video below and scroll down to revisit some photos of the show courtesy of photographer Andrew Blackstein.
