Electron first formed nearly 25 years ago during the Disco Biscuits’ hiatus and originally featured Joe Russo on drums. The band debuted Marc Brownstein’s rock opera Chemical Warfare Brigade at the Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia on August 19th, 2000. Since then, the band has reunited for sporadic performances, including a few notable sets on Jam Cruise. The jamtronica quartet has continued to serve as an outlet for Brownstein, debuting several songs that later made their way into the Disco Bisctuis’ live repertoire.
Electron’s most recent performance took place on May 15th, 2023 at Ardmore Music Hall. Listen to that performance via archive.org here and check out full show video from the band’s 2021 run at Ardmore Music Hall below.
