This January, members of The Nth Power will host a weekly residency, dubbed NTHFECTIOUS, featuring different themes and special guests each week to kick off 2016 with a bang. First up, on January 5th, drummer Nikki Glaspie, bassist Nate Edgar and guitarist Nick Cassarino will welcome Rob Compa of Dopapod, Chris St. Hilaire of the London Souls, Danny Sadownick and Phantom Vanity for a Rock Night on 1/5. It’s all going down at the Knitting Factory Brooklyn. Tickets are available here.

The band will pay homage to Led Zeppelin, Fishbone, Jimi Hendrix, Foo Fighters, and Black Sabbath, as well as playing some originals never heard before by the public. Fans can also expect material from the Screaming Headless Torsos, “who are my heroes,” says Nikki.

Following the big kickoff, the Nth Power rhythm section will host a Hip-Hop Night, R&B Night, and Reggae Night throughout the month, with additional shows TBA.

The Nth Power’s dynamic talent breaches genre boundaries, taking soul music to the next level by drawing from each individual member’s diverse musical background. Nikki Glaspie served as Beyonce’s touring drummer for five years before taking her talents to funk powerhouse Dumpstaphunk, while bassist Nate Edgar was a fundamental member of both Groovechild and John Brown’s Body. These two perfectly compliment singer and guitarist Nick Cassarino, who hails from Jennifer Hartswick Band and has toured with Big Daddy Kane. Their sexy, spiritual and powerful take on soul music at its core makes them one of the most unique acts out there today, and the opportunity to watch this tight-knit unit let loose and explore new territory will be a real treat.
