Today, the world celebrates what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday. The King Of Pop has a vast catalog of hits to pull from, with one of his most iconic albums being 1982’s Thriller, which was the first album to ever reach 30-times multi-platinum and has secured the title of the second best-selling album in the United States. On the cover of the beloved album, Michael Jackson wears a white Hugo Boss suit, and in honor of MJ’s birthday, Hugo Boss has announced that the company will be reissuing the suit as a limited run.
As the New York Times reports, “the new version of the suit has a narrower silhouette … but it still has two pleats on the pants and three mother-of-pearl buttons on the jacket cuffs.” Hugo Boss will be creating only 100 of the limited-run Michael Jackson tribute suit. Each suit costs a whopping $1,195, and is numbered, making it a rare collectors’ item for those with over a grand laying around.
