On February 25th, 2020, some of the biggest names in classic rock took the stage at The London Palladium for an all-star tribute to founding Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green. The event, dubbed Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate Peter Green and the Early Years of Fleetwood Mac, paid tribute to the pioneering psychedelic blues guitarist, who would pass away exactly five months later. Ahead of the impending DVD and CD/LP release of the concert, Mick Fleetwood and Friends have shared a clip of “Albatross” from the show.

First released as a single in 1968 and later compiled on Fleetwood Mac’s 1969 album The Pious Bird of Good Omen, the instrumental track is in good hands with Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour. Delivering the lead pedal steel guitar, the rest of the band falls into line in a dreamy procession that floats across the stage. As compared to the rest of the raucous evening—filled with high-octane blues-rock delivered by some of the genre’s finest—”Albatross” delivers a slight breather before the energy inevitably picks back up again and fills the room.

The film will be available for on-demand streaming via Nugs beginning on April 24th, and will also be released in a wide variety of formats on April 30th.

“The concert was a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it’s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,” Fleetwood said in a statement about the concert film. “Peter was my greatest mentor and it gave me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I was honored to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician.”
