Audiences got a first glimpse of the upcoming Mick Fleetwood & Friends Peter Green tribute concert film on Friday with pro-shot footage of guiarists Kirk Hammett, Billy Gibbons, and Fleetwood performing “The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown)”.

Announced last month, Mick Fleetwood & Friends Celebrate Peter Green And The Early Years Of Fleetwood Mac is set for release on Blu-ray, CD, and LP on April 30th, 2021. The February 2020 concert featured performances from Fleetwood Mac members Christine McVie and Jeremy Spencer, along with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Pete Townshend (The Who), Noel Gallagher (Oasis), John MayallZak StarkeyBill Wyman (The Rolling Stones), and many more.

In the new clip, Gibbons steps to the mic and delivers the lyrics to the track off Fleetwood Mac’s 1969 record, Then Play On, in his trademark Texas-blues drawl. With Fleetwood pounding away at the drums like a man a quarter his age, the stage is set for the Metallica guitarist to lay the blues riff to waste. Inspired by the hard-hitting blues playing Green displayed in his early days, Hammett bridges the gap between the British blues stylings of the 1960s and the heavy-metal tradition he helped usher into the spotlight.
