Mike Gordon has shown his love for fellow American rock idol Bruce Springsteen, snapping a picture of himself laying his lips on the cheek of the star’s bust in Princeton. The statue, which now resides outside Larini’s Service Center and gas station at the corner of Alexander and Faculty Roads, was sculpted by local resident Steve Zorochin based on shots of “The Boss” singing ‘One Trick Pony’ in the movie The Wrestler.

Zorichin, who grew up in Princeton, created and titled the sculpture based on Springsteen’s passion for using his art to help people. And now, thanks to Zorichin’s tribute, as well as Gordon’s affectionate photo, the statue has been featured in a new book titled Rock Atlas USA: The Musical Landscape of America, making Princeton part of legendary rock music history.
