moe. revealed on Tuesday that founding guitarist Chuck Garvey had suffered an apparent stroke at his home on Saturday morning. The band also stated that the 51-year-old is “currently hospitalized in stable condition.”

In a brief post to social media, the band provided few other details aside from “we remain hopeful for a full and speed recovery.” moe. asks that we all “keep him in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.”

The band’s next scheduled appearance is at the Holidaze destination event hosted by The Disco Biscuits and Umphrey’s McGee in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. moe. is due to perform two sets at the festival on December 4th. The band also has a string of December dates on the books including stops at Brooklyn Bowl (12/9), The Capitol Theatre (12/10, 12/11), and a New Year’s run at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (12/30, 12/31). moe. has made no announcements regarding the status of those concerts.
