On their smokin’ hot fall tour, moe. rolled into their hometown of Buffalo and treated their most loyal fans to two great nights of music. moe. has been on a tear of late, digging into both their material and choice covers to keep fans on their toes every night. Last night was no exception, as the band hit the Town Ballroom with a passion.

The show featured three covers in total, including Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried” and David Bowie’s “Fame.” Both songs have been in regular rotation since their respective writers passed away in 2016, and the songs made for fun moments in an energetic show. The final cover was a second-set opening rendition of “In The Flesh?” by Pink Floyd, which traces back to moe.’s recent full set tribute to Floyd at the Peach Festival.

Of course, the show featured a healthy spread of moe.’s jammin’ originals, including a “Blue Jeans Pizza” opener and great versions of hits like “Mexico” and “Opium” in the first set. There was also a great rendition of “Yodelittle” in the second set that sandwiched a version of “Down Boy,” as well as a “Shoot First > Billy Goat > Kids” combination to close out the set. With an encore of “Not Coming Down,” moe. sent their hometown fans home smiling!
