It’s certainly the season for American fans of the band moe. to seek some warmth. Fortunately, there’s a destination for that, as moe. kicked off their annual Tropical Throe.down last night at the Jewel Paradise Cove Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. The band’s first of three performances began with an almost reggae-feel, as they opened with “Crab Eyes” and tossed in No Guts, No Glory tracks “Annihilation” and “Silver Sun” into the first set.

The group also performed their cover of The Band’s “Up On Cripple Creek,” but the real jam highlights came in the form of a four-song second set. Following a second set opening “Stranger Than Fiction,” the group’s “George > Lazarus > head.” trio was an inspired moment of moe. performance. If this was any indication, get ready for a great week of music!
You can watch some of the highlights from Throe.down on this Periscope video feed.
