moe. returned to the scene of the crime in Swanzey, NH for a pod show at Northlands Live on Saturday. The band last performed at the Northeast socially distanced venue on October 22nd, 2020 when it was still a drive-in venue known as Drive-In Live.

The concert came as moe.’s second of the weekend following the band’s prime time set at The Peach Music Festival the day prior. Though that show marked moe.’s first full capacity, non-distanced show since the pandemic, Saturday once again saw the Buffalo quintet return to the safe confines of a pod concert.

Opening up with a trip down to the “LL3”, moe. jam-packed the first set with runs through classics like “Wormwood” and “Opium” before welcoming Rob Derhak‘s daughter Emma to the stage for the band’s first-ever cover of “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse. A monster, 20-minute “Mexico” followed which flowed into a brief “Captian America” that barely got started before going into “Akimbo” and finally reprising “Captain America” to end the first frame.

Set two saw moe. move swiftly through a laundry list of fan-favorites after opening up with “Tailspin” including “Okayalright” and “Kicking & Screaming” before covering The Band‘s “Ophelia”. The second set also saw a mammoth jam with a 20-minute “Brent Black” split up into two parts with a 20-minute “George” stuck in the middle to close the second set. Returning to the stage for the encore, following Al Schnier‘s “al.nouncements”, the band delivered a fiery “Plane Crash” to end the show.
