In a press conference, hard rockers Mötley Crüe announced that they would be officially retiring after an extensive 72-date tour. To emphasize the point, each of the band’s four founding members signed a “Cessation Of Touring Agreement” during the conference, preventing any of them from using the band’s name or logo in future performances.

Why? Well, according to lead singer Vince Neil, the band “want(s) to go out with the four founding members of Motley Crue, and go out on top.” Nikki Sixx agreed, saying that the members “started talking about how we want to go out. We don’t want to hobble off into the sunset.”

The band hits the road on July 2nd, touring with fellow rocker Alice Cooper as a special guest. Tickets go on sale next Wednesday, February 5th, and some concerts are as cheap as $15, allowing all of Motley’s fans to say a proper goodbye.
