With a “Headliner TBA” at the top of the lineup, Mountain Jam finally relieved the suspense by officially announcing that The Allman Brothers Band would be performing! The band will be performing their first two albums, The Allman Brothers Band and Idlewild South, at the spectacular festival held annualy at Hunter Mountain, in New York.

In a statement, Mountain Jam founder Gary Chetkof said, “We really aimed to bring the best of the last 9 years back for this year’s milestone and having The Allman Brothers on board feels extremely fitting. The festival takes its name from one of the Allman Brothers’ most beloved songs and I don’t think there will be a dry eye at the conclusion of their set.”

Earlier this year, the Allman Brothers announced that 2014 would be their final year of touring. The band is gearing up for their annual March residency at the Beacon Theatre, which begins this Friday. Expect many heartfelt, tear-inducing moments, amidst excellent soloing from guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks.

Mountain Jam unveiled further lineup additions, including Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Copious Jones KJAMM, Ratboy Jr., Elijah and the Moon, and The Dirty Gems. You can see the full lineup on our Master Festival Spreadsheet!

The festival takes place between June 5-8 at Hunter Mountain. Tickets are still available, through the festival’s website.
