Music at the Intersection has announced the artist lineup for its 2024 return to St. Louis, MO’s Grand Center Arts District on September 14th and 15th. The fourth-year festival will once again celebrate the diverse roots of American music with high-profile performers from the worlds of blues, jazz, soul, funk, R&B, hip-hop, and rock n’ roll.
During the Music at the Intersection weekend, more than 50 national, regional, and local artists are scheduled to perform across four stages throughout the outdoor festival footprint of St. Louis’ Grand Center Arts District—a mix of urban streets and green spaces stretching across Washington Avenue just east of Grand Boulevard.
On Saturday, September 14th, the festival will welcome popular psychedelic-soul outfit Black Pumas, Atlanta hip-hop hitmaker Big Boi of OutKast, future-funk sexted Lettuce, St. Louis native and “Right Thurr” rapper Chingy, Afro-Cuban funk sensation Cimafunk, drummer Joe Russo‘s new Selcouth Quartet, soul songstress Lady Wray, local R&B rising star Jordan Ward, funky L.A. party outfit Thumpasaurus, and more.
On Sunday, September 14th, Music at the Intersection 2024 will come to a close with timeless funk queen Chaka Khan, New Orleans favorites Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, eclectic jazz singer and bassist Esperanza Spalding, 2023 Best New Artist Grammy Award-winning jazz vocalist Samara Joy, jazz-funk bass master Stanley Clarke and his band, pedal steel maestro Robert Randolph and his band, and more.

Sunday’s schedule will also feature a special set by the festival’s artist-in-residency, St. Louis-native jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold, during which he will spotlight his 2024 Foreverland album with “surprise guests.” While we’ll have to wait and see who the guests end up being, it’s worth noting that the album features a number of notable collaborators including Common, Robert Glasper, PJ Morton, Laura Mvula, Malaya, Chris Dave, and more. In addition to his Sunday Foreverland set, Harrold will helm other “special activations and performances” during the event.
Other notable features of Music at the Intersection 2024 include a Sunday Gospel Brunch at the festival’s food truck court, a city market, art activations, and more.
