In one of the year’s first truly heartwarming stories, an anonymous customer at J.B. Hart Music Co. has gifted a Dean Dimebag Darrell ML signature guitar to a Pantera-loving kid.

The Grand Junction, CO-based music store shared the story—which was eight months in the making—to its social media accounts on Friday, spreading a bit of holiday cheer for the new year. The guitarist in question is Fallon, a young music lover who has been impacted by Williams Syndrome since birth. As the post from J.B. Hart Music explained, Fallon would go to the store over the past couple of years and ask to play the “Pantera” guitar.

“We were shocked he knew some Dimebag riffs,” the company wrote in its post on Facebook.

Eight months ago an anonymous customer noticed Fallon rocking out on the Dimebag Darrell signature model. Moved by the experience, the customer returned to the store and purchased the axe, asking the J.B. Hart employees to gift Fallon the guitar the next time he came in. In a twist, Fallon didn’t return until New Year’s eve, as he had moved to Texas, over 12 hours away.

“We didn’t see Fallon until today. We tried finding him to no avail,” wrote J.B. Hart. “Today, his family came in the store, and we learned they had moved to Texas and returned this week for a visit. It was a wonderful experience to gift Fallon his dream guitar as a gift from a kind stranger. His mom burst into tears, and Fallon beamed with excitement. It was a special moment. There are still good people in this world.”

After going viral, Pantera even joined the conversation, sharing the post with a caption that said: “Happy New Year! What an amazing story. Enjoy your new Dimebag Darrell guitar, Fallon.”
