After My Morning Jacket’s Jim James realized they couldn’t compete with Phish in obtaining Madison Square Garden for a new years run, MMJ booked a three night run at Peter Shapiro’s Capitol Theatre.  For the first three nights prior to New Years Eve the band will play at NY’s brand new Capitol Theatre, as part of a Spontaneous Curation Series, where no song will repeat, fans participate in the song selection process, and attendees will receive a free download code to procure the soundboards shorty after the show.  The band will then make their way up to Boston to finish their year at Boston’s Agganis Arena with support from the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

To obtain pre-sale tickets to all four shows, check the band’s fan club “Roll Call” on Wednesday through mymorningjacket.com.  Capitol Theatre tickets will go on sale to the general public, on Friday at 10am EST here.  Tickets for Boston’s Agganis Arena will be available on Friday at 12pm here.
