An all-star tribute concert dedicated to the memory of Rush drummer Neil Peart, dubbed “A Night for Neil – The Neil Peart Memorial Celebration”, has been announced. The concert is set to take place on May 16th at the Meridian Centre in Peart’s hometown of St. Catharine’s, Ontario. No official lineup has been announced yet.

In addition to gathering musicians together to pay tribute to a hugely influential drummer, “A Night for Neil” will also serve as a benefit concert with proceeds going to Rush’s charitable organization, Overtime Angels, along with St. Catherines Hospital and Walker Cancer Center and The Jurvaniski Hospital & Cancer Centre in Hamilton, ON, and The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, ON.
“We are grateful for the team that Overtime Angels is assembling,” Neil’s parents Glen and Betty Peart said in a release. “We are especially pleased to be able to support this charity event that will benefit some much-needed organizations that are close to our hearts.”
