Neil Young, one of the most well-known and prolific music artists of the last fifty years, with a widely recognized solo catalog, along with his connection to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and Buffalo Springfield, among other bands, will be honored again for his continued support and contributions to the recording music industry.
The Recording Academy Producers and Engineers Wing will honor Neil Young at their seventh annual Grammy Week event. Young will receive an award of excellence towards his tireless commitment and ongoing support for the art and craft of recorded music. Young has spent the last few years working on PONO, an audio service that he claims will restore digital audio to its original analog sound (how cool is that!?). He’s also received several other awards including the MusicCares Person of the Year award in 2010

Young will be honored on January 21, 2014 at the Seventh Annual Grammy Week event at the Village Studios in West Los Angeles.
